Hello and welcome to Tahirah British Shorthair cats. Please feel free to browse my website to find out more about us.

I am a small hobby breeder of British Shorthair (specialising in Spotted, Colourpointed and Tabby Colourpointed in Lilac, Chocolate, Blue and Cream. My Prefix Tahirah is registered with the Governing Council of Cat Fancy (GCCF). I have been breeding and showing since 2002 and am striving to maintain the correct type, coat and truly wonderful disposition in these adorable cats. I am also a member of the Southern British Shorthair Cat Club, The Colourpointed British Shorthair Cat Club and the British Shorthair Breeders Group.

It goes without saying that health is paramount and my cats and kittens have the very best of food, love and no expense spared in their general well being. My cats are pets first and foremost, but some of them have gone on to do well on the show bench too.

All kittens are born and raised in our home. They are very well socialised, my three children love the kittens and together with various family and friends they are handled on a daily basis.
